Century of Design
Stamp Series
Form Follows Function
The International Typographic Style, or Swiss Design, began an era of clean, dynamic design that took hold of the design world from the 1950s and 60s. For the next few decades, the works of Armin Hofmann, Emil Ruder, and Josef Müller-Brockmann inspired and taught designers the powerful use of the grid. This stamp and brochure series features them and their works as some of the key influential designers of Swiss Design.
Made for Graphic Design 348 Studio I, the assignment was to create a series of stamps, an info card, and an envelope that showcased the International Typographic Style for the USPS. An additional set of Brochures highlighting three designers was created alongside the stamps with the idea of this being a collection for the USPS.
